This course is for beginners who wish to learn the basic language of Te reo Māori Kuki ‘Airani (Cook Islands).
Course duration
Taught over 2 weeks, students will join a 4-hour tutor facilitated class per week.
What you need to do the course
Please note this course is only available to Auckland residents. This course is taught in a classroom setting face to face held at the Te Atatū Peninsula Community Centre (Kōtare – Kingfisher room).
Course content
This course is taught in English and Te Reo Māori Kūki ‘Airani, so you don’t need to be fluent in Te reo Māori Kuki ‘Airani (Cook Islands language).

Entry requirements
Applicants must be NZ Citizens, or permanent resident residing in NZ and be over 16 years of age, or 13 years of age with an adult approval and supervision. This can be a parent, guardian or sibling over the age of 16 who will attend the class with the 13–15-year-old.
