Fesaitu Solomone launches Rotuman Book of Poetry
‘Otou Mäeva, ‘Otou Fạtu, ‘Otou Hanisi - My Memories, My Heart, My Love
Driven by her passion and love for the Rotuman language, Fesaitu Solomone has been able to leave a legacy and a gift for future generations to come. This legacy is a book of 19 poems and are a selection of personal writings. Almost 20 years of collections, poems and stories treasured by Fesaitu, shared with the world in this deeply moving publication. It is a gift and a treasure for all.
The book was launched with a blessing by TeRito Peyroux-Semu and the sweet serenading of Bex Peterson aka Sassy Vinaka vakalevu and Roimata Vainerere-Patia. The celebration also included Pasifika community leaders Caren Rangi and Joe Fuavao as guest speakers. The event was held at the Kingsland Trinity Methodist Church in Auckland, a befitting venue for such an auspicious occassion.
